The Rector We Seek

Approachable & Friendly – Demonstrates compassion, is joyous, humble, honest and energetic with a sense of humour.

Engaged with Parishioners - Clergy to recognize that pastoral visitation is a priority and to administer same with the support of lay ministers.

Engaged in Community - Participation in community events including fundraising and general fellowship events in order to meet not only members of the congregation but community members. Participation in local ecumenical initiatives/committees.

Strong Communication Skills – Can effectively communicate with all members of the congregation.

Demonstrates Leadership – Can motivate and mobilize the congregations to achieve Parish goals in a collaborative fashion.

Team Player – Work with lay readers, eucharistic ministers and all volunteers in the day to day operations of the Parish. Participation in Monthly Parish council meetings (mandatory); Participation in quarterly Church Council Meetings (optional).

Understanding of Prudent Parish Management – Providing support to effectively operate the Parish.
Strong Time Management - Clergy must manage own personal calendar in an effective manner and ensure that days off are scheduled and strongly adhered unless an emergency arises.

Innovative & Creative – Able to present new ways of doing things while respecting the value of traditions. This includes exploring different liturgies and styles of worship.
