"To nurture, teach and baptize new believers" is the second of the Five Marks of Mission that drive the work of our Diocese. And yet, creating disciples rather than parishioners has not been at the forefront of our work as parishes. Here are some resources to help us transition toward Mark of Mission 2.
What is Intentional Discipleship?
Discipleship in four simple steps (not necessarily easy)
Join the discipleship discussion in our Diocese.
Informal, inspiring conversations are hosted on the Zoom platform. The sessions, hosted by the Creating Missional Communities Team (VSST), include participants' sharing of plans and ideas for next steps in individual and congregational discipleship journeys. It’s also an opportunity to identify particular needs that would help grow discipleship.
Enjoy the networking and support of lay and clergy voices across the Diocese.
Discipleship Drop-ins run 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join or leave the session at any time. Come one month but not the next. Whatever suits your schedule. Check in with others, pray together, share ideas and tips, encourage and be encouraged!
