Harvest Bags

Just in time for Thanksgiving, and as we give thanks for a bountiful harvest, St. Alban’s is once again taking orders for the Harvest Bag fundraiser. The Harvest Bags are filled with Nova Scotia locally grown vegetables which can be used for your Thanksgiving table or shared with others to enjoy.
For $35.00 you will receive:
5 lbs potatoes 2 lbs carrots 5 lbs apples
2 turnips (smaller size) 1 cabbage 1 buttercup squash
1 lb parsnips 1 lb cranberries 2 lbs onions
2-4 sweet potatoes
Also includes a collection of easy recipes!
Why? By partnering with Noggins Corner Farm Market, a family farm in Greenwich NS, we have a great opportunity to support local farmers while enjoying fresh produce. All proceeds from the Harvest Bags will be used for the St. Alban’s “Plant and Share Garden” next year and other parish projects!
Consider sharing the contents and cost of a bag with another person, give as a gift to a special family member or friend, or donate a Harvest Bag to those in need at our local food bank.
Orders must be placed and paid for by Friday, September 30th. To place an order, send an email to stalbans@bellaliant.com or leave a message with your name and telephone number on the church phone at 902-463-2493 – we will respond and discuss payment options. E-transfers are accepted at the above email address.
Pick-up will be at St. Alban’s Church Hall, 345 Pleasant St., Dartmouth on the evening of Wednesday, October 5th 6:30-8:00pm and in the morning of Thursday October 6th 9:30-11:00am. Alternate arrangements can be requested if required.
