In all of our diocesan ministries for and with children, youth, and families, we take great care to ensure that we do all that we can to protect those who we serve.

All leaders at diocesan children's, youth, or family ministry events are screened according to our SafeR Church Screening Program. This screening includes:

  • A Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check 
  • An Interview and Reference Checks
  • Healthy Boundaries Training and Additional Training As Needed
  • Diocesan Sexual Misconduct Policy Training
  • Ongoing Supervision with Regular Reviews and Check-Ins

We always have a minimum of two screened and trained leaders with any group of children and youth, and maintain appropriate overall leader:child/youth ratios depending on the ages of the participants.
