Members and officers on Parish Council are called to so much more than just managing the business of the faith community. Although oversight of day-to-day matters of the organization and property is important, the role of council members as spiritual leaders situates the congregation well for flourishing. Working with their clergy, Council (sometimes called Vestry) can act as a discernment team, helping to respond to the Spirit's guidance.
