In a message to the Anglican Church Women Diocesan Board, Rilla Sommerville of Empowering Widows, a life-long Anglican, asks for our prayers for widows worldwide, but especially those in countries where their plight is beyond tragic. There are over 38 million widows worldwide, many with dependent children, living in extreme poverty, often subject to dehumanizing and cruel traditions.
