The SS Atlantic Heritage Park Society in collaboration with the Anglican Diocese of NS and PEI, and the Parish of St. Timothy and St. Paul INVITES YOU on Thursday July 20th at 11:00 a.m. 2023 to a Ceremony of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for the life of the Reverend William Ancient who died July 20th 1908 at St. John's Fairview Cemetery.

Thanks to Frank Jastrzembski, there is a new headstone at his grave which will be blessed as his heroism and faithful service are remembered along with the work of all past and present first responders.

Ancient’s grave is in the section of the Cemetery labelled St John’s Cemetery and Columbarium. It is best reached off the Joseph Howe Drive loop to join Windsor Street, first entrance on right. On entry take the roadway on right towards the Columbarium; go around it and park along the roadway facing the way you had come. This will enable easier exit for all. There are other entrances which mean driving through the cemetery.

RECEPTION TO FOLLOW
at Trinity Anglican Church, 321 Main Avenue, Fairview.

The Society and The Rt. Reverend Sandra Fyfe will be glad to welcome all interested persons for this significant occasion in the 150th Anniversary Year of the wreck of the SS Atlantic off Lower Prospect NS on April 1st, 1873.
