CHARITABLE TAX RECEIPT TIPSIt's that time of year... tax time! CHARITABLE TAX RECEIPT TIPS It's that time of year... tax time! Deepen relationships with your donors by saying 'thanks' in a warm, effective way. Parishes are preparing to distribute charitable receipts, why not include one or two extras in the envelope to share with your givers how they are helping your congregation make a difference?
Include a thank-you letter, outlining some of your ministries. This is impactful and encourages donors to give again or increase their support.
Another idea is to include information about PAR (Pre-Authorize Remittance) and/or Canada Helps. These are two easy, safe and fast ways to electronically support your missional endeavors.
VISIT this Diocesan page for sample letters and articles on this simple, yet extremely important way to show appreciation to your givers.

SIX-MINUTE STUDY #235Small is big.
‘Canada's singing priest’, Rev. Mark Curtis said, "Ministry is about the little things.” Continuing with COVID in 2021 means large projects and grand community ministry may be difficult, but small bits of gracious serving and incorporating mini-spiritual disciplines is certainly doable. In fact, sometimes the baby-steps of faith enrichment are much more transformative in people's lives because they are easier to do. Read, Tiny Things: Cultivating Micro-Practices in Congregational Life, by Lee Ann Pomrenke, for suggestions.

Week of Prayer for Christian UnityParish/Diocesan video resources - Monday, January 18, 2021 I hope this message finds you all healthy and well after an interesting Christmas season, to say the least. Under the direction of the Primate, the national office is preparing a series of videos to offer an ecumenical service in observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WPCU). The WPCU kicks off next week on January 18, the Feast of the Confession of St Peter, continuing through the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul (January 25). Video components of the service will be available for download at www.anglican.ca/weekofprayer<http://www.anglican.ca/weekofprayer> by end of day on January 18. Dioceses and parishes are welcome to use the videos to supplement and/or replace services during the WPCU. The website is also collecting email addresses, for those who would like to receive a notification of when the videos are available for download. Additionally, the WPCU videos will be shared to the national office social media accounts beginning on Monday, January 18. I invite you to share the videos posted from the national social media accounts, as you are able. Also—keep your eyes peeled for another email in the coming days. The email will provide a list of resources to support dioceses and parishes for World Interfaith Harmony Week<https://worldinterfaithharmonyweek.com/> (February 1-7). If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to myself or Joe Vecsi, Communications Director (copied). Thanks so much and take care! -- For more infomation visit: http://nspeidiocese.ca/events/week-of-prayer-for-christian-unity/2021-01-18
