Anglicans Powering Potential reminds everyone about Red Dress Day - May 5
Red Dress Daycelebrated each year on May 5, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S), originated from Métis artist Jaime Black's "REDress (from the word redress) Project" in 2010. The project involved displaying red dresses in public spaces to symbolize the missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls in Canada and raise awareness about the crisis. A public display of red dresses is featured each May  5.
