(Read More) The Anglican Church Women Board learned late in 2020 from Annie E. Johnson of Eskasoni, about remote northern communities in Canada that could benefit from an infusion of school supplies, as the cost of these basic items is very high in these remote areas of the country. Because of Covid-19, there is no sharing, so lots of items are needed. Plus the fun items of neat pencils, pens, erasers, note pads, etc., often seasonally-themed, are not available locally.
The Board has secured the names and postal addresses for several schools in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories and there are a number of our parishes that have already “adopted” a school from this list. If you are interested in “adopting” a school by putting a box of supplies together – maybe the large size prepaid Canada Post box @ $30, let the Board know by e-mailing acw.nsboard@gmail.com
