Anglicans Powering Potential encourages the acceleration of action regarding Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Celebrate International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8th, by attending a special Gathering to which all (yes, all genders) are warmly welcome. International Women’s Day 2025 theme: Accelerate Action
Guest Speaker: the Honourable Michael MacDonald, Retired Chief Justice and Chief Commissioner on the Mass Casualty Commission
Other Speakers: local service providers in the realm of Gender-Based and Intimate Partner Violence (GBV and IPV) who will speak about the challenges and hopes women and gender-diverse folks are facing, in order to raise public awareness to end GBV/IPV.
There will be elected leaders and other government officials present to share how governments are “accelerating action” on gender equity and justice.
This International Women’s Day event is supported by the NS Status of Women office and Lunenburg School for the Arts, along with a number of partners dedicated to ending GBV/IPV.
